This article demonstrates how to set or update the printer inside the tax software.

Are you trying to Print but the Printer you normally use to Print tax returns is not showing in the Select Printer options window? 

It may be caused by recently adding a new printer or not logging in to the tax software in the correct order.

 Follow the steps below (in order) to get the correct printer:

Select Status on the Cloud Client icon to verify the software has the correct printer selected.

Verify the correct printer listed under Live Link Status, if printer is correct please skip to step 7.

If printer is incorrect, select Set Printer.

Select the drop-down arrow to see list of printers.

Select the appropriate printer.

Select close to save the new printer.

  1. Close the tax software.

  2. Select the Caret symbol (^)from the System Tray on your machine.

    1. This is typically in the bottom right corner of your computer by the date and time, but could be elsewhere if you have moved it.

  3. If you don't see the computer icon highlighted below, you are completely logged out. If it is present, RemoteApp Icon (looks like a computer), right click the icon with your mouse and choose Disconnect All Connections. If you do not see this icon, continue to the next step.

    Re-open your Cloud Client icon, and select desired Tax Year.

    Image RemovedIf you are using the Cloud Client to access your tax returns, a new window will appear as soon as you select the desired Tax Year.

    DO NOT SELECT "OK" UNTIL YOU ARE ACTUALLY LOGGED INTO THE TAX SOFTWARE!

    FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS ORDER MAY RESULT IN A INCORRECT PRINTER SELECTION! 

  4. Click Connect

  5. Enter username/password for the cloud.

  7. You may now select OK.

  9. If the correct printer is displayed here skip to step 9, otherwise continue to step 6 to set the printer.

  14. You may see this confirmation box. Leave this box up until you have logged into the actual tax software. Failure to leave this box open until reaching the WIP screen will result in the wrong printer being displayed.

  15. After you are all the way logged into the tax software and on the WIP screen, select OK.
