Possible Cause 1: This is a dependent being claimed by someone else and the dependent box is not marked on the Client Data Page.

Resolution: Collect the prep fees up front and paper file the return along with Form 14039.
Possible Cause 3: The dependent's information is entered incorrectly and the IRS system thinks it is a different person (double-check the SSN, name, and birthday).
Resolution: Correct the taxpayer’s information, resign, and resubmit.
