1040 - Reduce the Number of Pages Printed when Printing Final Return

This article covers how to limit the number of pages printed when printing a tax return. There are 2 methods that can be used to do this:

Follow the instruction below to successfully reduce the number of pages printed:

Method 1 – Permanent solution

1. Click Setup > Printer Setup

2. Select 1040 Return Printing to select what documents are to be printed in the final printing.

Select the Bus. Return Printing tab to configure Business return printing.

3. Click OK to save selections.

Method 2 – Per return basis

1. Click Print > Return Components.

2. Select the component(s) to print.

3. Click OK to print the selected pages.

There is an additional option to Filter the components printed on the print dialog box.
