Do you want to add a custom status for your tax returns? This article will demonstrate how to create and add a user-created status code.

Assign a User-Created Status Code

 

Follow the instructions below to successfully create/add a user-created status:

Create a New User-Created Status

1. Log into CrossLink 1040.

2. Click Database > User Status Code.

3. Enter the new "Status" in the Status Code field and click Add.

4. Enter a Description and click Save.

 

Assign the Status to the Tax Return

1. Open a tax return.

2. Click Information and Status from the Attached Forms.

3. Click the User Status field > Press F3 or Choices.

4. Select the User Status Code.

5. Click OK.
