1040 - E-File Only Watermark

This article is only referring to the "E-file Only" Watermark and does not apply to the Client or Preparer Watermark that is enabled/disabled in printer settings.This article is only referring to the "E-file Only" Watermark and does not apply to the Client or Preparer Watermark that is enabled/disabled in printer settings.

The "E-file Only" watermark is controlled by development and there are no settings to turn this feature On/Off. If a form is marked as E-file Only it is because:

  • We have received Approval from the appropriate State/Federal agency that the form meets the requirements for e-filing.

  • The watermark also indicates the form has NOT received the necessary approvals to be printed and mailed.

Printing and mailing a form marked as E-file Only may be rejected by the State/Federal agency.
