Switching bank selection may be determined by what time of the year it is or if you have/have not begun transmitting tax returns.

 

Use the available tips below to determine your outcome:

  1. If the season HAS NOThas not started you can change banks.

  2. If the season HAS STARTEDhas started you will need to stop using your EFIN. We will have to clear out any returns in the queue between the transmitter, the Bank, and the IRS. We have NO control over how long it will take to clear all returns. Typically this can take up to 4-6 weeks. At times it could take longer or shorter.If the bank record HAS BEEN PUSHED OUT by CPTS, for the submitted bank application, and you submitted a new bank enrollment with another banking partner that has been approvedThis process can typically take 4-6 weeks.

  3. If you have begun transmitting returns and wish to change banks, a Bank Change Form (located in the Portal under the downloads section) must be completed and signed by the account owner.  You will also need to provide a copy of your photo ID.
