You can capture in-office signatures for an ERO, preparer, or taxpayer by using two methods in CLO. These two methods will be explained in this article.
Follow the instructions below to successfully capture a signature:
Method 1: Onscreen capture (touchscreen, or mouse)
1. Sign the requested signature in the area designated
2. Click Accept.
Method 2: Signature pad capture
1. Click Ready To Sign.
2. Capture the signature using the signature pad.
3. Click OK.
The ERO and Preparer signature cannot be captured remotely via email or SMS text.
