    This article contains useful information for troubleshooting issues with the scanner not functioning in CrossLink TaxProAlliance.

    ** Ensure the scanner is a supported scanner.  CrossLink software requires the DS6707-DC or DS8100 (Zebra). **

    Possible causes –

    • Scanner may not be connected to the computer; verify the scanner is connected to a functioning USB port.

    • Drivers may not be installed:

      • To verify if the drivers have been installed:

        1. In Windows, press the Start button.

        2. Type Apps & Features and hit enter.

        3. In the Apps & Features window, look for “Symbol SNAPI USB Imaging Driver” or “Motorola CoreScanner Driver 64 bit”.

        4. If either is present, the driver is installed. If it is missing, the drivers need to be installed. Follow this link to open the installation instructions.

    • If possible, troubleshoot the scanner on a different computer. The scanner may be broken and nonfunctional, please contact the hardware vendor for further troubleshooting assistance.
