Form SSA-1099 Social Security Benefit Statement

  • Taxpayers must include Form SSA-1099 with their return if they are otherwise required to file

  • Social Security benefits can be 50-85% taxable

  • Taxpayers receiving SSI will not receive this form

Follow the instructions below to correctly enter the Form SSA-1099:

  1. Select Add Form.

  2. Select Form SSA-1099. Double-click to add the form.

  3. If a joint return, choose New Taxpayer's or New Spouse's Occurrence.

  4. Complete the SSA-1099, filling in all applicable sections.
