This article demonstrates how to add Form SSA-1099.


About Form SSA-1099

  • Taxpayers must include Form SSA-1099 with their return if they are otherwise required to file

  • Social Security benefits can be 50-85% taxable

  • Taxpayers receiving SSI will not receive this form

Entering Form SSA-1099

  1. Select Add Form.

  2. Locate and select Form SSA-1099. Double-click to add the form.

  3. If a joint return, choose New Taxpayer's or New Spouse's Occurrence.

  4. Complete the SSA-1099, filling in all applicable sections.

    1. If the taxpayer has Medicare premiums deducted add all premiums together, enter them in the bottom left corner of the SSA-1099, and link to SCH A.
