What is an EFIN?

An EFIN is a nine-digit number assigned by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to businesses and other entities that allows them to file taxes.

1. Login to your tax software.
   
   

2. Select Database.
   
   

   Open

   

    

3. Select EF Originators.
   
   

   Open

   

    

4. The EFIN will be displayed. DO NOT change the ERO name, this is setup by CTTS and should not ever be changed.
